Chris Dinn, DMD


Dr. Christian Dinn received his DMD in 2008 from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he began working at the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester Massachusetts while serving as a faculty member for Boston University, Tufts University, and Lutheran Medical School of Dentistry. His experience included volunteer work instructing residents in the Boston area on Oral Health and Hygiene for HIV/AIDS population. In 2009 Dr. Dinn started working for his brother Dr. Michael J. Dinn at his Sandwich, MA office. From 2009-2014 he joined the Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services (CMOHS) Portable Program working in the Taunton and Attleboro school systems, providing comprehensive dental care to children who are victims of oral health disparities and do not have a dental home.  Dr. Dinn is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and Southeastern District Dental Society.

Trang T. Nguyen, DMD, AEGD.

Dr. Trang Nguyen is a Dorchester native. She was initially a patient of Dr. Doherty Sr. at the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (DHMSC) while in grammar school and asked if she could learn dental assisting. She was enrolled in the DHMSC neighborhood DA training program for teens and soon expressed an interest in becoming a dentist. She graduated from Regis College in Boston and was accepted at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Trang graduated from Tufts SDM in 2001 and was awarded a fellowship from Lutheran Medical Center for an AEGD residency at the DHMSC. Having completed her AEGD program, Dr. Trang then became a full-time provider at the DHMSC in 2002 where she quickly became one of the most popular preceptors for residents and externs as a clinical assistant in restorative dentistry at the BUSDM. In 2011 Dr. Trang was named as Director of Dental Services at the DHMSC where she not only delivered dental services to her patients, but also provided oversight to a team of 23 staff, including 12 dentists.  Dr. Trang joined Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services (CMOHS) in 2004 where she delivered comprehensive dental services to children who are victims of oral health disparities and do not have a dental home. Dr. Trang also  became the provider responsible for the Quinsigamond Community College Children’s Clinic which was a joint venture among the Central Mass Oral Health Initiative, UMASS Medical Center, and CMOHS.  Dr. Trang is a member of the American Dental Association and  Massachusetts Dental Society.

Dr. Trang worked at the Taunton Oral Health Center in 2009 and we are extremely fortunate to have her back with us as Assistant Lead Dentist.

Jennifer L Nelson, DMD, FAGD

Dr. Jennifer Nelson is a general dentist who is focused on comprehensive care of her patients. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and takes time to continue her education. As a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry she has shown her dedication to keeping up with the latest techniques and technology within the dental profession.
Dr. Nelson enjoys her patients and will always find time to fully discuss her treatment recommendations. She is focused on providing a healthy smile and overall beautiful look to her patients. She is especially talented in cosmetic dentistry and has special training in esthetics which includes providing Botox and fillers helping with pain and non-invasive cosmetic improvements.
Dr. Nelson enjoys helping others and has done mission work in Guatemala through the “Open Wide” Spear Foundation.
She also enjoys spending time with her two teenage boys and loves outdoor adventures.

Andrea Dickhaut RDH, BSDH, MHA

Andrea Dickhaut serves as the Practice Administrator of the Taunton Oral Health Center, Commonwealth Mobile Oral Heal Services and the DentaQuest Oral Health Center. She is responsible for the everyday operations. Andrea has many years of experience as a dental hygienist, practice manager and administrator in both the private practice and public health environment. Previous to coming to the Taunton Oral Health Center and CMOHS, she was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine and a member of the adjunct faculty at Quinsigamond Community College School of dental hygiene. In addition to her years of clinical and teaching experience, Andrea served as the Senior Director of Dental Operations at Community Health Connections in Fitchburg. She currently works with Community Health Centers across the country where she is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of initiatives designed to improve clinical quality and operational efficiency. Andrea holds a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Northern Arizona, a certificate in Health Center Management from Suffolk University and a Masters degree in Health Care Administrations from Worcester State University.

Mark E. Doherty Jr., DMD, CAGS

Mark Doherty Jr. is the Dental Director at the Taunton Oral Health Center, and  is a 6th generation dentist in his family.  He is a 2003 graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. He did his post-doctoral training at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) and received his specialty degree in Endodontics in 2005. Dr. Doherty Jr. is a partner in a large endodontic practice serving southeast Massachusetts.  In addition, Dr. Doherty Jr.  has the held position of associate clinical instructor for the Post Graduate Endodontic Residents at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Doherty  Jr. is also the Executive Director of Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services, a portable dental practice created by his father in the early 1980’s. This practice provides dentistry to the underserved population who face barriers to accessing dental care.  Dr. Doherty is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Southeastern District Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists, the Massachusetts Association of Endodontists and the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.  Dr. Doherty Jr.  is the Past Chair for the Southeastern District Dental Society, was on the program committee for the Yankee Dental Congress and was a recipient of the 2012 “Ten under 10” award from the Massachusetts Dental Society for making a significant contribution to the field of dentistry.
